CARBINE:EMPLOYMENT

 

Descripition:

 

The Employment course is our most physically and use of skills demanding class we currently offer. This is a high risk course that covers the use of vehicles and low-light/darkness conditions. Being able to communicate effectively under stress, perform in tough situations, and learning how to commit to action.  

 

We require you to have LEO or military experience, or completion of Carbine: Reactive, Handgun: Reactive or extensive civilian training from another organization of which we approve of. Send us an email if you have any questions in regards to approval for the course. 

 

What you will be taught:

 

• How to use a vehicle for cover

• Shooting from and into a vehicle  

• Multiple target drills

• Vehicle bailout procedures

• Communication under stress

• Suppressive fire techniques

• Advancing and retreating tactics in low-light

• Single vs multiple passengers methods

• How to utilize light effectively

• Positive ID drills (threat or no threat engagements)

• Operating as a team

• Carbine to handgun transitions

• Single handed weapon manipulation

• Committing to action mindset 

 

Required Gear List:

 

• Eye protection

• Ear Protection

• Minimum of 4 magazines for rifle

• Minimum of 3 magazines for handgun

• 1pt, 2pt, or 3pt sling

• Magazine pouches mounted on chest right or waist belt

• 700 rounds of rifle ammunition

• 300 rounds of handgun ammunition

• Optic and or iron sights may be used

• Light- weapon mounted for rifle

• Light- weapon mounted for handgun and or handheld light

• Notepad and pen

• Baseball style cap

• Pants

• Gloves

• Knee pads and elbow pads (not required but recommended)

• Body armor (not required but recommended)

• Weapon tools and lubrication

 

*This class requires that you have a valid Drivers License and a PTP/PTC or a letter of good standing from your local LEO or a current Military ID card. All forms of identification must be current and matching information. This will need to be shown in person the morning of the class.*

 

Note: We shoot regardless of weather conditions. Dress accordingly and bring any sunscreen, hydration packs, and gore tex gear you would like to have. If you have a medical condition, please send us an email to let us know.
